What is Currency Converter?

Free currency converter. Convert between Indian Rupee (INR), US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), British Pound (GBP) and 30+ world currencies. A free online tool that works instantly in any browser. TekPulse's Currency Converter is completely free — no signup, no ads in results, and no data stored on our servers.

How to Use Currency Converter Online

  1. Select the source currency (e.g. INR — Indian Rupee)
  2. Enter the amount you want to convert
  3. Select the target currency (e.g. USD — US Dollar)
  4. View the converted amount using the latest exchange rate
  5. Rates are updated daily from a reliable exchange rate API

Currency Converter Formula & Calculation

Converted Amount = (Input Amount × From-Currency Rate) ÷ To-Currency Rate, via INR as the base

IMPORTANT: This tool uses a static, hardcoded reference rate table built into the page — not a live exchange-rate API or real-time market feed. All 34 supported currencies are defined with a fixed rate relative to 1 Indian Rupee (INR = 1), and conversions are calculated by converting the input amount to INR first, then to the target currency.

Example: Converting ₹1,000 to USD using a reference rate of USD = 83.5 (meaning 1 USD = ₹83.5) → 1000 ÷ 83.5 = $11.98.

Because real currency markets move continuously throughout the trading day, these indicative rates will drift away from the live market rate over time and are not refreshed automatically in real time.

Key Factors That Affect Your Result

  1. Indicative rates only — The page itself displays a disclaimer that rates are indicative and references the last-updated date; for any transaction involving real money (remittance, travel, invoicing), always confirm the live rate with your bank, card network, or a licensed money-changer before relying on this figure.
  2. No live API — Unlike some currency tools that pull from a real-time forex API, this converter's numbers are a static snapshot coded into the page. The displayed "last updated" date on the page reflects when the table was last manually refreshed, not continuous live pricing.
  3. Spread not included — Even if the reference rate were live, actual banks and exchange services add a margin (spread) on top of the interbank rate, so the amount you actually receive in a real transaction will differ from any mid-market reference rate shown here.
